In an effort to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted electricity supply during the monsoon season, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will undertake special pre-monsoon maintenance and repair works on various power lines across Nagpur on Wednesday, June 24.
The works will include technical repairs, re-jumpering, inspection of power lines, load balancing, and trimming of tree branches near electrical infrastructure to enhance system safety and operational efficiency. As a result, power supply will remain temporarily suspended in several areas during the morning hours.
In the Civil Lines Division, power supply will remain affected from 7:00 am to 11:00 am in Shambhu Nagar, Tiranga Chowk, Shivgiri Chowk, Vaibhavnandan Society, Om Nagar, Om Sai Nagar, Arya Nagar, Chaudhary Chowk, Koradi Naka, Goodluck Society, Santosh Nagar, Ibrahim Real Estate, Indrayani Society, Shriram Tower and Dhawan Celebration. Additionally, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, power supply will be interrupted in CPWD Quarters, Community Hall, SFS College, Water Pump area, Manavta Nagar and TV Tower Chowk.
In the Mahal Division, electricity supply will remain suspended from 7:30 am to 11:00 am in Garoba Maidan, Shastri Nagar, Kumbhar Toli, Hiwari Layout, Babulban, Pethe Saheb locality and Geeta Bhavan area.
In the Congress Nagar Division, power supply will remain affected from 7:00 am to 11:00 am in Hiranwar Layout, Anand Nagar and Gharkul area. Further, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, power supply will remain suspended in Friends Colony, PNT Colony, RPTS, Nakshatra Hall, AC Railway Colony, Atre Layout, Mate Chowk, Durga Mandir area, Bhange Vihar, Talmale Layout, Netaji Colony, Renghe Nagar, Shahane Layout, Surve Nagar, Bhavan’s School, NIT Buildings A, B, C and D, Jetvan Society, Central Wayside, Pratap Nagar, Trisharan Nagar, Ashok Colony, Railway Colony, Changdev Nagar and Milind Nagar.
MSEDCL has appealed to consumers to cooperate during the temporary outage, stating that the maintenance work will help strengthen the power network and improve the quality and continuity of electricity supply in the future. The utility has also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
