Demonstrating its commitment towards passenger safety and social responsibility, Central Railway, Nagpur Division, successfully rescued two minor children during a ticket checking drive at Nagpur Railway Station and handed them over to the Child Helpline Centre for further care and rehabilitation.
During a ticket checking operation conducted today on Platform No. 2 at Nagpur Railway Station, Chief Ticket Examiners (HDTE) Shri Sudhir Pendam and Shri Bhushan D. noticed two minor boys travelling under suspicious circumstances in the General Coach of Train No. 12622.
Upon enquiry, it was found that both minors had left their home without informing their family members and were travelling alone.
Considering their young age and vulnerable situation, the railway staff acted with sensitivity and vigilance, ensuring the children’s safety and well-being. Following the prescribed procedures, both minors were safely handed over to representatives of the Child Helpline Centre for further necessary action, counselling, and rehabilitation.
Central Railway, Nagpur Division accords the highest priority to the safety and welfare of passengers, particularly children and other vulnerable groups. Such prompt and compassionate action reflects the dedication, social responsibility, and humanitarian approach of railway staff in safeguarding those in need.
