South East Central Railway will operate a mega block every Tuesday and Friday from July 3 to November 17, 2026, in the Chakradharpur division for infrastructure and track maintenance works, affecting several express trains running via Nagpur, which will be cancelled, partially cancelled or diverted.Track renewal using TRT machines and infrastructure repair works will be carried out on the Kansbahal–Dharuadihi up and down lines. Railway administration said the block is aimed at strengthening safety and ensuring smooth travel for passengers.
Due to the block, various trips of the Hyderabad–Raxaul Express (17005/17006) have been fully cancelled between July and November. The Tatanagar–Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari–Tatanagar Express (18109/18110), Bilaspur–Tatanagar (18114) and Tatanagar–Bilaspur (18113) will also not run on specific dates.
The Ara–Durg South Bihar Express (13288) will terminate at Rourkela on certain dates, with the Rourkela–Durg leg cancelled, while the Durg–Ara service (13287) will originate from Rourkela on some days. The Yognagari Rishikesh–Puri Utkal Express (18478) will run via Jharsuguda Road–Sambalpur City–Cuttack on select dates, and train 13288 will run via the Kandra–Sini route on some days, skipping Tatanagar and Gamharia.
Railways has urged passengers to check the updated timetable and reservation status before travelling.
