The 3rd BRICS Transport Working Group Senior Officials’ Meeting commenced in Nagpur on Thursday under India’s BRICS 2026 Chairship, bringing together senior officials and delegates from BRICS member countries to strengthen cooperation in the transport sector.
The meeting serves as a key platform for policy discussions on sustainable and resilient transport systems, innovation, infrastructure development, connectivity and mobility. Delegates are expected to exchange best practices, share experiences and explore avenues for deeper collaboration to enhance transport networks across BRICS nations.
The discussions are being held ahead of the BRICS Transport Ministers’ Meeting, which will be chaired by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur. The event is being organised by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways under India’s BRICS 2026 Chairship, reflecting the country’s focus on promoting resilient, innovative and sustainable transport cooperation among BRICS member countries.
