Torrins musical extravaganza at CPS, Amravati Road Bypass

Recently the children and teachers of Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass were mesmerized by the performance of the Torrins Music Academy and Ehsaan Noorani, the famous guitarist of the musical trio, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, the composers behind many successful movie albums like Dil Chahta Hai, Rock On and Raazi.

Torrins is one of the fastest-growing names in the music world. A year before last, in partnership with Ehsaan Noorani, Torrins introduced its music program for schools in India. Ehsaan Noorani is a stakeholder, mentor, and ambassador for Torrins.

The audience witnessing the musical extravaganza consisted of classes 1-10 of CPS, AB, and students of grades 1 to 7 of CPS-International. All the students were bursting with excitement at this golden opportunity and were looking forward to an exemplary performance. The programme was organized so that the students could get exposure to the magical world of music.

The children of CPS, AB and CPSI felt proud on seeing some children of CPS, KR, and CPS, WN perform as a part of the Torrins Academy.

The afternoon kicked off with a rendition of Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t help falling in love with you’ sung by the extremely skillful students of CPS, Katol Road. This was followed by an energizing performance of Imagine Dragon’s ’Believer’ by the equally talented students of CPS, Wardhaman Nagar.

The Torrins group then took to stage. The audience was blown away by the songs, the talented guitarists, the gifted keyboard players and the sheer passion with which everybody performed their pieces. A couple of songs into the Torrins show, ace guitarist Ehsaan rocked the stage by playing his self-composed songs like Rock On, Pichle Saat Dinon Mein, Mitwaa and Ae Watan.

The rendition of Ae Watan really aroused patriotic feelings amongst all and made the audience feel proud to be an Indian. True to his reputation as one of India’s leading guitarists, Ehsaan’s talent and skills were a huge contributor to the many Wow moments of the afternoon.

But, as they say, all good things come to an end. The programme wrapped up with the all-time favourite, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. The song was very appropriate for the moment, as, while the show was over, our hearts still asked for more.

The programme was attended by the Directors of the school, Aruna Upadhyay, Arun Upadhyay, Radhika Rajwade, Dr. Jai Singh Rajwade, and Mukta Chatterjee, and Abhijit Sanyal.
