HC order to demolish illegal construction near High Tension lines

HC to Demolish Illegal Construction near High Tension Line | Nagpur News

In a recently passed judgment, The Nagpur bench of Bombay Court has ordered Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) to demolish 3,642 illegal construction under High Tension Line immediately.

A committee was formed by the court to survey the illegal construction and to that, the committee has submitted a fifth report regarding the completion of a survey of the two-third construction close to high tension line.

In this survey it was stated that 3204 constructions were done without getting the approval of the map, also a bypass construction was done regarding the map.
The High Court has given orders to NMC and NIT to demolish the illegal construction under the high tension line and the police commissioner has also been directed to protect the squad. The next hearing will be on September 18.
The case was first lodged in the year 2017, in the month of May when twin brothers of Sugat Nagar died while playing in the gallery of their Nara based flat.
