In just two weeks the prices of vegetables have dipped due to the fresh batch of the vegetable that is available with the local producers. It should be noted that though the prices of the vegetables in the wholesale markets are lower but the prices are still on the higher side in the retail market.
According to the sources, if the arrival of the fresh vegetable continues the prices may go down in the coming days.
Secretary of cotton market sabji and fruit Aditya Association, Ram Mahajan, informed that as the vendors are getting better prices for their products in Mahatma Fule markets they have started to bring their consignment to this market.
The farmers have already started to grow their vegetables and would harvest them around Dasshera that is in the month of October, Ram further added. However, the prices in the retail market are still increasing which is directly affecting the pockets of the consumers.
