Pratap Nagar Sewage Line Choked Due to Heavy Disposal of Waste

Residents of Pratap Nagar have been facing sewage line issues as the residential sewage pipeline has been interrupted with loads of waste from hotels and food stalls of the same area. Pratap Nagar is already known for its food joints and chaupatis. People are usually seen visiting restaurants daily, especially young people. The youth of Dharampeth, Hingna T point, and Mate square have been some of the regular costumers and visitors of this area.

Following such a heavy amount of visitors, Pratap Nagar has been facing garbage issues as well. The sewage line opposite to Bank of India is seen open because of this a pungent smell has been spread in the whole Pratap Nagar area. Residents have been complaining about this issue for almost a year but no strict actions have been taken by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) yet.

Ravindra Kulkarni, a senior resident of Pratap Nagar colony told TLN that “I have been keeping a close watch of the sewage pipeline for months now. This area has got a lot many food joints, and the amount of waste coming out of the hotels is overloading the residential sewage line.”
