New Dress Code for Nagpur – Mumbai Duronto Ticket Checking Staff

To offer a premium feel to commuters and staff, the Railways has given a makeover to the Ticket checking staff of premium trains.

Following the instructions of the Railway Board, under the guidance of DRM Shri Somesh Kumar, and efforts of Shri Krishnath Patil, Sr.DCM, Nagpur the Nagpur division of Central Railway has implemented the new dress code in its premium train: Nagpur to Mumbai Duronto Express, with a view to augment the amenities to travelers of premium trains.

As per the new dress code, the staff has donned a grey suit with a white shirt and a maroon tie carrying the logo of the Railways. There will be three golden stripes on each sleeve of the train superintendents, two on the sleeves of deputy train superintendents and an Indian Railways logo badge on the chest pocket. There are 24 officials who man this premium train in the Nagpur division. The maiden trip of the Ticket checking staff in an attractive new dress in Train No 12290 was on 19-12-19.

It is expected that the passengers of premium trains will be immensely benefited and it will be easier for them to locate the Ticket Checking Staff in the new distinct attire.

The intent behind introducing the new uniform is to foster a premium feeling among people traveling in premium trains. So far, the staff of all trains used to wear the same dress uniform. The stripes on the sleeves indicate the rank of the ticket- checking officials.”
