Forest department to keep strict monitoring on forest areas to prevent nuisance under the pretext of New Year party

Forest department recently taken measures to prevent the so called drinking under the pretext of jungle tourism on New Year. For this purpose, a strict ban has been imposed on New Year parties near forest area.And as per information, the forest staff will patrol the forest areas in the tiger reserve, sanctuary and national park area on December 31 and January 1. Instructions have been given to keep the rest houses inside the protected area closed for two days.

There are two government rest houses of the forest department in Nagzira while the rest houses in Pench, Bor Tiger Reserve, Umred-Karhandla and Tipeshwar Sanctuary are outside the protected area. And it has been reported that in view of the New Year, the booking for Jungle Safari on December 31 and January 1 is full. In case of such illegal activities happened, immediate action will be taken against the concerned persons under the Indian Forest Act 1927 and Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
