An initiative to provide information regarding different provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 was conducted at Zilla Parishad Hall recently. For the effective implementations of this act, district level societies were formed.
As per information the workshop was inaugurated by the hands of commissioner of Animal Husbandry, department of Maharashtra Laxmi Narayan Mishra,Regional joint commissioner,Dr.KS Kumbhare,Neha Panchamatiya of Maharashtra Animal Welfare board,Dr.Prashant Bhad,deputy commissioner from Pune,additional CEO,Kamalkishore Futane delivered lectures in the workshop. The officials like district deputy commissioner, district animal husbandry officer, and assistant commissioner were also present.
