Amid Lockdown, Mahavitaran Permits Consumers to Send Their Own Metre Readings to MSEDCL

At present the country is facing a challenging situation due to the novel coronavirus pandemic followed by the lockdown. Amidst this chaotic situation, Mahavitaran, the state power distribution company had stopped the readings of the electricity meters. In view of the situation, Mahavitaran has now permitted the consumers to send the metre readings themselves by eliminating the imperative of registered mobile number for the purpose.

The citizens can now download the mobile app from the play store on their mobile phones. The consumers can submit their meter readings as a guest.OTP will be sent to the consumer whose mobile number is registered. Then the consumer has to click on the submit readings option.

The meter reading figure has to be written in the space’KWH’and then submit it.After this, the process will be completed. If the customers face any difficulty they can contact toll free number 1912 for redressal. And the Mahavitaran will inform when these meter readings are to be sent to the registered mobile number.
