COVID-19 lockdown, OCW, NMC appeal citizens to view water bills through e-bill form

As we know the entire country is facing a difficult situation due to the outbreak of COVID-19 followed by the lockdown. Amidst this tumultuous condition, the civic administration of the city and Orange City Works (OCW) has asked citizens to see their water bills through e-bill form on their mobile.

At present, due to the pandemic printing in suspended, NMC-OCW has made arrangements to send trimonthly water bills on register mobile numbers through SMS updates. The billing has been done as per average consumption as reading of meters was suspended on account of instructions from administration and State Government.

Citizens can gets SMS updates by registering mobile numbers on website www.ocwindian.com and clicking on consumer corner for entering mobile number. Due to lockdown the bill centres of NMC-OCW are currently closed down and people can pay through PayTM, online bill portal or other digital platforms. For generating e-bill people should mention details about CAN (agreement no.), GIS ID or meter number would be asked for authentication of consumer and these two numbers are mentioned on previous water bills. After entering email Id the OTP can be generated and using the same mobile number of email id can be registered. For any corrections people may dial the Toll Free number.
