Even after appealing schools and education institutes to not force parents for the school fees many school authorities seem to completely ignore the fact about the situation due to the pandemic.
Parents have been protesting against the exploitation of various educational institutions around Nagpur which are forcing extra fee charges on parents even after being closed since the lockdown was imposed in the city.
Recently around 250 parents staged a protest in front of St Xavier’s School Hingna against the management for demanding higher fees on Computer lab, use of library, etc.
Parents said that we have requested school authorities about the charges but it was still leveraged upon us so we had to come together. We even went to talk to Nitin Gadkari but as he was not available today our meeting was postponed.
Everyone is aware of the pandemic it is difficult for parents to pay unnecessary bills of the activities which was dysfunctional for months.
We want that schools must understand the current situation and act accordingly as such a method will be in benefit of both parents and the educational institute.
