The night curfew which has been imposed in Maharashtra from 22nd December to 5th January, between 11 pm to 6 a.m., has become a very strict vigilance and administration from the side of the Nagpur police.

While talking to the TLN team, Police Inspector of Sadar Police Station, Amol Deshmukh informed, “Those people who will be seen on the streets after 11 pm will be strictly booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 188”.

“The old rules of the lockdown to be retained as it was going like imposing of fine if incase mask is not worn, if more than 5 people is seen gathering at the same place, then the police will be forced to arrest the gang”, the PI added.

“All clubs, establishments, restaurants and other places should strictly wind up their activities by 10:30 itself, in case of any hammering of rules, the police to take a staunch action against the same,” Deshmukh further added.

A lot of well-organized arrangement and stern invigilation has been planned which is under the process to exercise from the side of the police, as known from Desmukh, that more than 2,000 police personnel have been deployed throughout the city starting from the Commissioner to the police constables to keep a complete check on the streets. The policemen will be on duty from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on the streets and the nakas are also supposed to be remaining closed for imposing a proper curfew.
