Take advantage of 50% concession by paying overdue property tax: Municipal Commissioner

The term of ‘Abhay Yojana’ announced by Nagpur Municipal Corporation to pay the arrears of property tax has expired and the last 5 days are left. February 14 is the last day of 50 per cent property tax waiver. Therefore, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. appealed to the citizens to take advantage of 50 per cent concession by paying the overdue property tax.

Citizens are getting good response after the Municipal Corporation announced ‘Abhay Yojana’. In the second phase of Abhay Yojana, the corporation administration has announced a 50 per cent rebate on property tax. Accordingly, if the arrears of property tax are paid in one lump sum between February 14, 2021, a penalty of 50 per cent will be given.

The Municipal Corporation has started ‘Abhay Yojana’ from 15th December 2020 for the citizens to pay their outstanding property and water taxes. The second phase of 70 per cent waiver of penalty on water tax arrears. Started February 1, 2021. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. He has appealed that by 22nd February 2021, the exhausted water tax should be deposited in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation fund during office hours and 70 per cent concession in penalty should be availed.
