Surge in COVID-19 cases, Nagpur district reports 754 positive , tally reaches 141782

The corornavirus situation is getting from bad to worst in Nagpur district fearing second lockdown. The admistration has already issued warning and are continuously appealing citizens to stay indoor and follow COVID-19 guidlines.

On February 19, the district crossed the 700 mark with 754 positive cases in the day. The total number of cases has reached 141782. On Friday 8 people succumbed to the virus-borne disease taking the tally of deaths to 4261.

As per the official report, out of the total positive cases, 148 were from rural areas and 603 cases from Nagpur city alone.

Meanwhile, from the total deaths, 1 was reported from rural area, 4 from Nagpur city and 3 from outside the city.

After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 5617 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.

With 234 recoveries in the day, the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 131904 (including 72172 home isolation recoveries). The recovery rate recorded today was 93.03 percent.

Today’s 754 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.

AIIMS (43), GMC (73), IGGMC (180), MAFSU (0), NEERI (62), RTMNU (55) Private Lab (293) and Antigen (47).
