Godrej Anandam situated near Model Mills under Dhantoli Zone of NMC has been shutdown after twenty seven persons tested positive of COVID on April 9.
Following the rise in number of Covid cases, NMC has sealed the Society and declared its premises as prohibited area. As a result, approach road to and from the society has been temporarily closed and residents of the society will not be able to move out.
Earlier, six patients were found Covid positive on April 3-taking total number of Covid positive patients in the society to 33.
Meanwhile, assistant commissioner of Dhantoli Zone of NMC has pressed into service mobile screening van for the residents of the township Officers of Ganeshpeth police station have also advised the residents to follow instructions to beat the novel virus.
