A day after 20 coal waggons from a goods train derailed near Malkhed on October 23, four trains remained cancelled in the Wardha-Badnera section of the Nagpur division of Railways.
The South Western Railway completed the restoration of the affected track at 8 p.m.
Trains 01380 Amravati-Badnera, 01366 Badnera-Bhusaval, 12105 CSMT-Gondia, and 11039 Kolhapur-Gondia remained cancelled.
While the Kolhapur-Gondia train will begin service on October 26, the other trains are expected to begin service today, October 25.
Twenty coal waggons from a goods train derailed in Maharashtra’s Amravati district, disrupting the rail route and causing many passenger trains to be cancelled, short-circuited, or diverted.
The derailment occurred at 11:20 p.m. on Sunday between the Malkhed and Timatla stations on the Nagpur division’s Wardha-Badnera section.
