The medal tally for the Khelo India Youth Games 2023 has been updated: hosts Madhya Pradesh is first, followed by Maharashtra

So far, hosts Madhya Pradesh have had the upper hand at the Khelo India Youth Games 2023, sitting atop the medal tally of this competition. They are in first place with four gold medals, followed by Maharashtra with three medals. On the medal tally, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Telangana are ranked third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. It’s that time of year again when some of the country’s most promising young athletes prepare to compete in the Khelo India Youth Games 2023.

The competition provides an opportunity for undiscovered talent in a variety of sports disciplines to shine on the national stage and put themselves in contention to represent their country one day. Since its inception in 2018, this annual sports competition has proven to be a huge success, and another glorious chapter is about to be added to the story. Madhya Pradesh is hosting the Khelo India Youth Games 2023. The annual competition will be held in 23 venues across the state, in eight different cities. The 13-day competition will feature over 6,000 athletes from all over the country. The multi-sport competition will conclude on February 11.

Haryana won the fourth and final edition of the Khelo India Youth Games 2021 with 52 gold medals and 137 medals overall. Maharashtra finished second overall, with 45 gold medals. Haryana and Maharashtra have dominated this annual competition, each winning it twice. This time, they expect to dominate once more, but athletes from other parts of the country would like to see their names higher up on the medal tally.
