The huge, green campus of The Achievers School displayed a spectacular, festive ambience as it celebrated its Annual Day on 21st April 2023.
It was a much-awaited evening, with the students, staff and parents, filled with zeal to witness the extraordinary endeavours of the students.
The unique theme for this year’s Annual Day Programme was ‘Celebrating Our City – Nagpur’.
The Audience was taken on a historical journey of our dear orange city right from the time of its inception by Raja Bakht Buland Shah to its immense growth and development in the present. This was done through a kaleidoscope of dances, street play, mimes and declamations.
The objective was to trace the orange city’s socio-political journey marking its remarkable development in various fields like industrial, infrastructural, economic and social.
The highlights of the events were the grand horseback entry of Raja Bakht Buland’s character and the grand palanquin procession of Raghuji Raje Bhonsle in the premises.
The dance depicting the various festivals celebrated in our cosmopolitan city climaxed with the unique Marbat Utsav performance with effigies of the Kaali and the Pili Marbats. But the Show-stealer was the School’s very own Dhol Taashaa Pathak comprising members of the Management, Staff, Parents and students, which made the audiences heart throb with their spectacular beats.
The other dances and dance-dramas depicted the various feathers in our city’s cap including that of being a green city, clean city, the Tiger Capital of India. The Nukkad Naatak beautifully showcased how Nagpur has become an important Educational hub. The Mime enlightened the audience about the significance of The Nagpur Session of The Indian National Congress during the Non Cooperation Movement.
The Chief Guest on the occasion, honourable Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkariji, lauded the efforts of the school in grooming this budding generation for future leadership, by making them aware of the endeavours of famous personality towards the development of their city.
