The Nagpur Police bid farewell to Joint Commissioner of Police (Jt CP) Ashwati Dorje following her transfer to Mumbai, where she will serve as Special Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Women and Child Protection Department, Maharashtra. A formal ceremony was held at the Police Bhavan Auditorium, Civil Lines, where Commissioner of Police Ravindra Singal honored her with a token of appreciation.
CP Singal commended Dorje for her impactful contributions to the city during her tenure and extended his best wishes for her new role. Senior officers, including Additional CP Pramod Shewale, DCP Archit Chandak, and Shashikant Satav, expressed their admiration for her leadership and guidance.
In her farewell address, Jt CP Dorje shared her satisfaction with her work in Nagpur and thanked her colleagues for their unwavering support. The event was hosted by ACP Narendra Hivare.
Sanjay Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police and head of the Crime Branch, has taken over the additional responsibilities of Jt CP following Dorje’s transfer.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers Nimit Goyal, Niketan Kadam, Rahul Madane, Rahul Maknikar, and other staff members.
