Nagpur: The SVK Shikshan Sanstha, an NGO dedicated to empowering intellectually challenged adults and promoting societal inclusion, is organizing the eighth edition of its flagship event, We Care Walk-A-Thon 2024, on December 15. The event aims to foster an inclusive society by bringing together individuals from all walks of life, including the differently-abled, for a shared cause.
The walk will commence at 7:00 AM from Walker’s Street, near Police Gymkhana, Ramgiri Road, Nagpur. Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singal, Commissioner of Police, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Smt. Abga Dwivedi, President of Jhankar Mahila Mandal, WCL, will serve as the Guest of Honor.
The We Care Walk-A-Thon is organized in collaboration with Jhankar Mahila Mandal, WCL, Orange City Runner Society, Dot Life Sciences, and Rotary Club of Nagpur North.
This unique initiative will see Nagpurians walking side-by-side with intellectually challenged, physically challenged, visually impaired, and hearing-impaired individuals to express solidarity and care. The event not only spreads awareness about inclusivity but also sensitizes the community towards the need for acceptance and integration of differently-abled individuals into mainstream society.
Participants are encouraged to join this meaningful cause and help create a society where everyone feels valued and supported.
