In a distressing incident on Thursday, January 9, a deer was attacked by a pack of stray dogs at Leverage Green Park in the Koradi area. Locals swiftly intervened to rescue the injured animal and alerted the authorities, who are now monitoring its condition.
Hariharsingh Gaherwar, a resident of Leverage Green Park in Aryanagar, described the event.
“Our neighborhood frequently sees deer due to its tranquil environment. On Thursday morning, a deer wandered into the area, but a pack of dogs attacked it, causing injuries to its backside. We managed to rescue the deer and informed the authorities. Thankfully, the deer is now out of danger and undergoing treatment,” Gaherwar said.
The incident highlights the challenges of coexisting with wildlife in urban areas and raises concerns over the increasing stray dog population.
