Train passengers in the region are likely to experience significant inconvenience as the Railways announced the cancellation of five pairs of passenger trains and the regulation of four others. This disruption is due to infrastructure development and a traffic-cum-power block for girder launching at level crossing number 510, situated between Gondia and Gangajhari stations under the Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway (SECR).
The block will be in effect from January 17 to January 22, during which the following train services will remain canceled:
- 68741/68742 Durg-Gondia-Durg Passenger
- 68743/68744 Gondia-Itwari-Gondia Passenger
- 68711/68712 Dongargarh-Gondia-Dongargarh MEMU
- 68713/68716 Gondia-Itwari-Gondia Passenger
- 68714/68715 Itwari-Balaghat-Itwari Passenger
Additionally, four other trains will be regulated during this period:
- 18240 Itwari-Bilaspur Sheonath Express will be delayed by 30 minutes on January 17.
- 18110 Itwari-Tatanagar Express will be controlled for 15 minutes on January 18.
- 18109 Tatanagar-Itwari Express will face a delay of 1 hour 30 minutes on January 21.
- 18239 Gevra Road-Itwari Sheonath Express will be controlled for 1 hour 15 minutes on January 21.
