The second edition of the Ramtek Cultural Festival is set to commence on January 22 at Nehru Ground in Ramtek. The festival, initiated last year to commemorate the consecration of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya, was announced by then Deputy Chief Minister and current Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
In response to a letter from Minister of State Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, Chief Minister Fadnavis has approved the event and directed Dr. Vipin Itankar, Secretary of the District Planning Committee, to allocate ₹3 crore for the three-day festival. Of this, ₹1 crore has been earmarked for publicity, which will be managed by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.
The festival will open with a grand staging of the play Ramayana, produced by Vindu Dara Singh. Other highlights include musical performances by celebrated artists Udit Narayan and Sukhvinder Singh, promising an enthralling cultural experience.
