The District Collector, Dr. Vipin Itankar, visited the Central Museum in Nagpur today to review preparations for the Shivshastra Shaurya Gatha exhibition, set to open on February 7. Zilla Parishad CEO Vinayak Mahamuni, Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Ajay Charthankar, and officials from the Police and Cultural Affairs Departments were also present.
The Cultural Affairs Department has invited members of the esteemed Bhosale family, along with respected historians and experts, for this historic event in Nagpur. The main ceremony will take place on February 7 at the Suresh Bhat Auditorium.
The exhibition’s inauguration will be attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, Minister of State Ashish Jaiswal, and other dignitaries.
A key highlight of the exhibition will be tiger claws brought from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, along with a display of Shiva’s weapons. The Cultural Affairs Department and District Administration are making efforts to encourage students and citizens to visit this exhibition, which features rare historical relics. Dr. Itankar emphasized that department heads must personally oversee their responsibilities for the event.
