Basoli Group recently hosted a grand doll wedding ceremony, bringing back nostalgic traditions in a creative way. Celebrating 50 years of its artistic journey, the group has organized a series of events throughout the year under the guidance of renowned senior artist Chandrakant Channe.
The event humorously highlighted the extravagance of modern weddings. It used drama and comedy to show issues like high spending, grand feasts, unsuitable dance performances, and the growing trend of destination weddings. The aim was to share important lessons about the real meaning of marriage and the value of cultural traditions.
The bride doll’s mother, Gargi Chakole, and the groom doll’s father, Paras Gaikwad, were young campers who played their roles with great excitement. Children, along with their parents and senior guests, wore traditional outfits, making the celebration feel even more real.
As part of the celebrations, an exhibition was held showcasing drawings by young participants. These artworks were inspired by the Khandoba wedding song performed in an earlier event. The audience admired the creativity, making the occasion a beautiful mix of culture and art.
