To mark the solemn occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a Guard of Honour and Wreath Laying Ceremony was organised by No. 2 Maharashtra Air Squadron NCC, Nagpur under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters, Nagpur. The tribute event took place at the prestigious Headquarters Maintenance Command (HQMC), Nagpur.
The ceremony was graced by Group Captain Kushal Vyas, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ Nagpur, and Wing Commander V. Deepika Rao, Commanding Officer of No. 2 MAH Air Sqn NCC.
The proceedings commenced with an impressive Guard of Honour by NCC cadets, showcasing exceptional discipline and precision in drill. This was followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony, where floral tributes were offered at the memorial in remembrance of the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice during the 1999 Kargil War. A moment of silence was observed in honour of their unmatched valour.
Cadets from the Army, Naval, and Air Wings of NCC participated with unwavering dedication, exemplifying the unity and patriotic spirit that defines the National Cadet Corps. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries underlined the importance of national service, dedication, and the enduring legacy of courage and commitment upheld by the Indian Armed Forces.
The ceremony concluded with an air of solemn pride and patriotic fervour, leaving all attendees with a renewed sense of duty and deep respect for the nation’s martyrs.
