With the water levels rising in Ambazari, Futala, and Gorewada lakes due to continuous rainfall in the city, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Fire Department, along with the District Disaster Management Department, has installed safety barricades at all three sites. Cautionary signboards have also been placed to alert citizens.

In response to the overflow risk, preventive safety measures have been taken as per the directives of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari. These efforts are being executed under the guidance of Chief Fire Officer Tushar Barahate.

Authorities have urged citizens visiting these lakes to follow the safety instructions strictly. With the possibility of heavy rains continuing, the municipal corporation has appealed to the public to prioritize safety and refrain from risky stunts. People are also advised to adhere to instructions issued by fire department personnel to prevent any untoward incidents.
