Globally popular ‘Dolly Chaiwala’, known for his stylish tea-serving videos from the Sitabuldi Civil Lines area of Nagpur, has once again made headlines—but this time for an unexpected reason. His official Instagram account, which had lakhs of followers, has been suddenly deactivated, resulting in the instant loss of his massive fan base.
Dolly Chaiwala is a well-known personality due to his unique style of making and serving tea, colorful hairstyles, trendy outfits, oversized sunglasses, and his Rajinikanth-inspired tea-pouring flair. His tea stall, famously called ‘Dolly Ki Tapri’, attracts hundreds of customers daily, including tourists and influencers. He also runs a YouTube channel with over 1.3 million subscribers.
In February 2024, Dolly Chaiwala shot to international fame when Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates visited his stall and enjoyed a cup of tea. Gates shared the video on social media, and Dolly became an overnight sensation. The viral moment led to a surge of followers on Instagram, where he quickly gained lakhs of fans. His popularity even opened doors for collaborations with various brands.
Dolly Chaiwala serves around 500 to 600 cups of tea daily and earns nearly ₹1.5 lakh per month. His social media fame also inspired him to expand his business and start his own branded franchise.
However, the sudden deactivation of his Instagram account has caused a huge shock to his followers. The exact reason for the account suspension is yet to be officially confirmed.
