Nagpur: A safety scare unfolded in Civil Lines on Thursday evening when debris from Kukreja’s under-construction high-rise project ‘The One’ fell onto the roadside, damaging several parked vehicles. The incident occurred on July 31, triggering concern among residents and commuters about safety at the site.
According to eyewitnesses, chunks of construction material suddenly fell from the upper floors, smashing onto the vehicles below. While no injuries were reported, the mishap caused panic in the area.
Local residents and vehicle owners expressed outrage over the lack of safety measures, alleging that no proper barricading or protective netting had been installed around the construction site. They have urged the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to inspect the site, hold the builders accountable, and enforce strict compliance with construction safety norms.
Authorities are expected to assess the extent of damage and verify whether there was negligence in following safety protocols during ongoing construction at the project.
