Nagpur: To enhance travel convenience for passengers, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will flag off the new Rewa-Pune Express on August 3. Indian Railways is launching this new Pune–Rewa–Pune Express, which will be the first train to provide direct connectivity between Pune and Rewa. Passengers will be the primary beneficiaries of this new service.
Train Stops:
During its journey, the train will halt at Nagpur station. The train will stop at Bhandarkund Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusawal, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Balaghat, Dhanpur, Jabalpur, Katni, and Satna. The train will consist of two AC II-tier coaches, three AC III-tier coaches, three AC III-tier economy coaches, six sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, one second-class seating-cum-guard brake van, and one generator coach. Currently, there is limited direct connectivity, but this train will significantly enhance travel facilities between both cities.
Pune is a historic and educational hub, while Maharashtra is home to several pilgrimage sites such as Alandi, Pandharpur, and Akkalkot. Rewa, on the other hand, is not only a historic and educational center but also a tourist attraction with sites like Keoti and Bahuti waterfalls and White Tiger Safari. The new train will boost tourism, pilgrimage, and trade opportunities between the two regions.
Train Schedule:
The Rewa-Pune Express (Train No. 20151) will depart every Thursday from Pune station at 3:15 PM and reach Rewa station at 5:30 PM the next day. The train will halt at Nagpur station on Friday early morning at 5:25 AM for 5 minutes.
Similarly, the return train (Train No. 20152) will depart every Wednesday from Rewa station at 6:45 AM and reach Pune station the next day at 9:45 AM. It will halt at Nagpur on Thursday evening at 6:20 PM for 10 minutes.
This new train will improve connectivity, encourage tourism and pilgrimage, and enhance commercial and trade opportunities between Pune and Rewa.
