Cracks have once again appeared in the joint of the Butibori flyover on the National Highway, raising concern among local residents. The same flyover had undergone repairs recently after similar issues were reported.
Despite the recent maintenance work, new cracks have been spotted, triggering panic among commuters and local citizens. The flyover, which is a key connector on the highway, was previously repaired to address safety concerns. Locals fear that the recurring problem could pose a risk to both daily traffic and overall structural stability.
According to the Public Works Department (PWD), temporary repairs were carried out in December 2024, and a major repair in February 2025 took nearly five months to complete. However, the cracks have reappeared within a short span, raising questions about the quality and durability of the work. Heavy vehicles using the flyover are also being affected, causing traffic disruptions and safety hazards
