The Ministry of Railways has officially approved the introduction of the new Vande Bharat Express between Ajni (Nagpur) and Pune, providing a fast and convenient travel option for passengers along this busy route. The inaugural run will be announced shortly, with regular services planned six days a week.
According to the Railway Board notification, Train No. 26102 Ajni (Nagpur)–Pune Vande Bharat Express will depart Ajni at 10:40 AM and reach Pune at 9:10 PM, while Train No. 26101 Pune–Ajni (Nagpur) Vande Bharat Express will depart Pune at 6:10 AM and arrive in Ajni at 5:50 PM.

The train will have commercial stoppages at Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar, and Daund Chord Line. It will operate six days a week, with the Ajni service not running on Mondays and the Pune service not running on Tuesdays.
Primary maintenance of the train will be handled at Nagpur, with two Vande Bharat Express rakes allocated for the service.
Railway officials indicated that the inaugural service may run as a special event, with wide publicity planned to mark the occasion. This new high-speed service is expected to enhance connectivity between Vidarbha and Western Maharashtra, reducing travel time and providing a world-class passenger experience.
