Nagpur: A major accident occurred near Koradi Temple on Saturday night when a portion of an under-construction gate collapsed during work. The incident took place between 8:00 and 8:15 p.m. on the Khaparkheda–Koradi Temple road.
According to officials, 15-16 people sustained minor injuries and have been shifted to hospitals for medical treatment. Debris is being removed with the help of machines.
The incident took place during work being carried out under the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) for the Koradi temple. A few workers were initially feared trapped, but no casualties have been reported so far.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Niketan Kadam confirmed the incident and said further details are awaited as rescue and safety teams reached the site to assess the situation.
