Due to regular maintenance work, relocation of underground cables, and commissioning of a new Ring Main Unit (RMU), power supply will remain suspended in certain parts of the city on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
As part of the road-widening work being undertaken by the Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation from Reshimbagh Square to Bhola Ganesh Square (in front of Suresh Bhat Hall), the 11 kV Ayurvedic underground cable will be relocated, and a new RMU will be commissioned. Consequently, power supply in areas of Reshimbagh, Siraspeeth, and surrounding localities will be shut down from 9 am to 1 pm.
Similarly, for the renovation work on the Gangabai Ghat bridge being carried out by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, the 11 kV Mahal 1 and Mahal 2 feeders from the Bagadganj substation will be relocated and connected to a new 11 kV line. This will result in a power outage from 2 pm to 5 pm in Nawabpura, Ayachit Mandir Road, Gangabai Ghat Road, Lakdapul, Mahal Chowk, Jhanda Chowk, Chitnispura, Nandaji Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, and Bhuteshwar Nagar.
In addition, for the installation of new electric poles along the 11 kV feeder, power supply will remain shut from 7 am to 12 noon in Omkar Nagar, Sadbhavna Nagar, Swaraj Nagar, Gajanan Nagar, Shrinath Sai Nagar, Green Plain Colony, and Raghvendra Nagar. For maintenance and repair work, supply will be interrupted from 9 am to 12 noon in Taj Nagar, Phule Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, and Raghujinagar.
Under the Congress Nagar division, maintenance work will require a shutdown from 9 am to 12 noon in Taiwade 1 & 2, Arjun Park, Zawar Layout, Prithviraj Nagar, Model Mill Society, Saishraddha Park, and Rajlaxmi Vihar; from 8.30 am to 12 noon in Niranjan Nagar, Harihar Nagar, Process Server, Shubhangi Nagar, Central Excise, and Jayanti Nagari-2; from 8 am to 11 am in Laxmi Nagar, Ath Rasta Chowk area, Hanuman Mandir, Ravi Nagar, and Ramnagar; from 8.30 am to 11.30 am in Bhende Layout, Vahane Layout, Patil Layout, and Jeevanchhaya Nagar; from 8 am to 12 noon in Telecom Nagar, Savalambi Nagar, Friends Colony, Ravindra Nagar, Gawande Layout, Pioneer Society, Swaroop Nagar, Somalwar School, and Changdev Nagar; from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm in Trimurti Nagar, Surve Nagar, Nelco Society, Adhyapak Layout, Sumit Nagar, and Azad Hind Nagar; from 8 am to 9.30 am in Vijay Nagar, Himalaya Prestige, Shewalkar Garden, PETS Colony, and IT Park area; from 10 am to 12 noon in areas from Mate Chowk to Gopal Nagar, Buddha Vihar, Ram Bhandar Prasadam, Gokul Apartment to Samarth Vyayam Shala, Yamuna Bai to Galaxy Mash, and SBI Colony; from 9 am to 12 noon in Karve Nagar, Paryavaran Nagar, Cosmo Colony, Ujjwal Nagar, Mahant Colony, and Pawandham; and from 7.30 am to 9 am in Mahajan Market, Ayurvedic Market, Ketkar Hospital, Ganraj Hotel, Bardi Main Road, Moonlight, and NMC Parking.
In the Gandhibagh division, regular maintenance will cause an outage from 8.30 am to 10.30 am in Vardhaman Nagar; from 9.30 am to 11.30 am in Small Factory area; from 8.30 am to 11.30 am in Sonbanagar, Suryanagar, Minimatanagar, Janakinagar, Bhawani Hospital, Pardi, Telipura, Gandhibagh, Rambhumi, and Jain Mandir Road; from 7 am to 11 am in Lal Imli Chowk, Golibar Chowk, Ganjakhet, Khadan, Chhoti Khadan, Nandbaji Dob, and Devghar Mohalla; from 10 am to 12 noon in Kidwai Road, Boriapura, Garib Nawaz Masjid, Risaldar Akhada, and Bakrimandi; from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm in Ansar Nagar, Nurani Ground, Dobi Nagar, and Ansar Nagar Masjid; and from 11 am to 1 pm in Haidri Road, Panai Peth, Kasabpura, Bakar Kasab Masjid, and Gulab Baba School area.
In the Civil Lines division, power supply will be interrupted from 7 am to 11 am in Chhaoks Colony, Thakre Colony, and Mayra Nagar; and from 8 am to 11 am in Mangalwari, Anjuman Complex, parts of Gaddi Godam, and the Cantonment area.
In the Butibori industrial division, supply will be shut down to 11 kV feeders in Wanadongri, Sawangi, Jagruteshwar, Narayana, Kanholibara-1 & 2, Gumgaon Spare, RR Water Works, and Industrial Sawangi, as well as to seven high-tension consumers in the Mihan Road and Mondha Road areas.
MSEDCL has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers, stating that these works are essential for safe and efficient power supply, and has appealed to all consumers to cooperate.
