The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Nagpur, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with much fanfare and fervour on Friday. Colonel A K Sharma, Veteran, NCI’s joint-director (administration), hoisted the tricolour at a glittering ceremony.
NCI’s president, Sr. Advocate Sunil Manohar, General Secretary and CEO, Shailesh Joglekar, Medical Director, Dr Anand Pathak, NCI’s clinical and non-clinical staffers were present on the occasion.
In his address, Colonel Sharma appealed to the gathering to build a healthier and stronger India. The chief guest and NCI’s management members were accorded a guard of honour by NCI’s security personnel.
DGM (Security), Mukund Lambe, commanded the parade.
