A tragic road accident claimed the life of 61-year-old Amitabh Motiram Pawde of Dhantoli, Nagpur, on Monday afternoon.
According to Dhantoli Police, the incident occurred around 1:30 pm near Rathi Hospital Chowk when Pawde was on his CD 100 motorcycle (registration number MVJ 7904) heading towards the hospital for personal work. At that time, a Bullet motorcycle (MH 31 FY 6824), allegedly being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner, rammed into his vehicle.
Pawde sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to private Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment at around 5:15 pm the same evening.
Based on the complaint filed by Dr. Swati Pawde (60), wife of the deceased, Dhantoli Police have registered an offence under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the Bullet rider. The investigation is currently underway.
