The Social Service Branch of the Crime Branch, under the ongoing Operation Shakti, carried out a major raid at Hudkeshwar, Nagpur, on August 19, 2025. Acting on credible information, police raided a house located at Plot No. 72, Sant Tajeshwar Nagar, opposite Shiv Shankar Temple, Hudkeshwar, and exposed a sex racket being operated from the premises.
During the raid, two accused were taken into custody. The arrested include Sunita Vikas Kamble (46), a resident of Bela, Bhandara district, currently residing at Vidyanagar, Wathoda, Nagpur, and her son Yash Vikas Kamble (26), also from Vidyanagar, Wathoda, Nagpur. The accused had allegedly lured women into prostitution by promising them quick financial gains. One victim was rescued from the spot.
The police seized a total of ?94,700 worth of material, including ?63,500 in cash, four mobile phones worth approximately ?31,000, and 20 condoms worth ?200. Both the accused, along with the rescued woman, were subjected to medical examination before being handed over to Hudkeshwar Police Station for further investigation under Sections 143(2)(3) of BNS and relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
Police Commissioner, Nagpur City, has reiterated that under Operation Shakti, the department remains committed to dismantling human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation networks across the city.
