A shocking case has come to light where a Bangladeshi citizen managed to secure two Indian passports using forged documents. The matter surfaced during his attempts to acquire Indian citizenship, leading to a case being registered against him.
The accused has been identified as Jowsh Chowdhury, son of Sushil Chowdhury (49), a resident of New Katol Road. Originally from Bangladesh, Chowdhury has been living in the Yashodhara area of Balaghat district. He first arrived in Nagpur from Bangladesh in 2011 and has been residing in the city for several years. During this period, he procured two Indian passports on the basis of fraudulent Bangladeshi documents.
While he was making efforts to secure Indian citizenship, the fraud came to light. Police investigations revealed that he had sought help from certain agents to obtain the passports. Authorities are now probing who facilitated the process and how such documents were forged.
This case has raised serious concerns within the police department about the presence of multiple Bangladeshi nationals in India using forged papers to obtain Indian passports. Officials have launched an investigation to determine how many such individuals may be residing in Nagpur and other parts of the state with similar fraudulent documents.
