“Our youth are the future of our country. They should repay their debt and fulfill their duty to the motherland by staying in India.”
These sentiments were expressed yesterday (Saturday, August 23) by Air Marshal (Retd) Shirish Deo. He was addressing the closing ceremony of a two-day national conference on ‘Youth’s Role in National Security for Development’ at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT).
He stated that India’s potential is immense and the inexhaustible energy of its youth is boundless. Air Marshal (Retd) Shirish Deo said that India has alwaysled the entire world.
The Chairman of the institute’s Board of Governors, Mr. Madabhushi Madan Gopal, gave the presidential address.
Also present on the dais were Director Dr. Premlal Patel, Dean Dr. Gyanprakash Singh, and Youth for Nation leaders Mr. D.S. Chauhan and Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh.
The report of the two-day national conference was presented by the organizing secretary, Mr. R.P. Vijay Kumar, and the vote of thanks was given by Mr. G. Hemchandra.
In the preceding session, Mr. Brijesh Kumar Singh (IPS), senior journalist Ms. Sarita Kaushik, and Lieutenant General (Retd) V.K. Chaturvedi addressed the students.
This two-day national conference, which began on August 22, saw experts guide more than four hundred young individuals on the country’s internal security, economic security, and cyber security.
