Nagpur – The issue of damaged roads on the Ramjhula flyover has become serious. This flyover, which connects the eastern and western parts of the city, sees heavy traffic throughout the day. Due to large potholes, the risk of road accidents has increased significantly.
Two-Wheelers Losing Balance
Ramjhula was constructed by Afcons Company under NMC’s supervision and opened for use in 2020. However, within just three years, the flyover has developed deep cracks and big potholes. As a result, two-wheeler riders often lose balance and vehicles bounce while passing through these stretches, creating a constant risk of mishaps. High speed further increases the danger.
Urgent Repairs Needed
The situation worsens during peak traffic hours, especially during the ongoing Ganesh festival, when the flow of vehicles is much higher. Locals have demanded immediate repair and resurfacing work on the flyover to prevent accidents. They say that if the problem is not addressed urgently, the likelihood of fatal accidents will only grow.
