Nagpur: In view of the growing popularity of the Nagpur–Indore Vande Bharat Express, preparations are underway to double the number of coaches. A proposal to increase the train from 8 coaches to 16 coaches has been sent to the zonal level.
When the Vande Bharat Express was first introduced, some passengers had expressed concerns about fares and high-tech facilities, predicting difficulties in ticket availability. However, the train quickly won the trust of travelers with its speed and comfort. Every two to three months, new Vande Bharat trains are being introduced across the country, and demand for them continues to rise.
Currently, the Nagpur–Indore Vande Bharat Express runs with only 8 coaches but records an occupancy rate of more than 90 percent. To ensure greater convenience and accommodate the increasing number of passengers, Indian Railways is considering expansion to 16 coaches. This will provide more seating capacity and enhance the travel experience.
