Acting on the directives of the Commissioner of Police, Nagpur City, and as part of the crackdown on human trafficking and prostitution, the Crime Branch Social Security Department carried out a raid under “Operation Shakti Antarit” on 2nd September 2025 near Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station.
During the operation, PSI Hardeo Rajguru and his team apprehended a woman identified as Mamta Vikas Nagose (32), a resident of Red Cross Colony, Kamptee Road. Investigations revealed that she was luring economically vulnerable women into prostitution for financial gain. One victim woman was rescued during the raid.
Police seized cash of ₹2,000, a mobile phone, and other articles worth a total of ₹22,000 from the accused. A case has been registered under Sections 370(3), 34, 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and other relevant provisions. The accused has been remanded to police custody, and further investigations are underway.
