The Central Railway, Nagpur Division, is carrying out redevelopment works at Nagpur Railway Station. As part of this project, foundation work will be undertaken on Platform No. 5.
For this reason, Platform No. 5 will remain closed from September 8 to October 29, a total of 52 days. During this period, 18 trains that normally operate from Platform No. 5 will be shifted to other platforms.
The affected trains include 22126 Amritsar–Nagpur AC Express and 22125 Nagpur–Amritsar AC Express, both of which will run from Platform No. 7. Similarly, 11201 Nagpur–Rahatgarh Express will also operate from Platform No. 7, along with 20911 Indore–Nagpur Express and 20912 Nagpur–Indore Express.
Local and MEMU services such as 61120, 61117, 61118, and 61119 (Amla–Nagpur / Nagpur–Amla) and 61109, 61110 (Nagpur–Wardha / Wardha–Nagpur) will be shifted to Platform No. 4. Meanwhile, other major trains including Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad–Howrah, and Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express services will be managed from Platforms 1, 3, and 6.
Furthermore, train no. 01140 Madgaon–Nagpur Express (15 trips) will be short-terminated at Ajni, and train no. 01139 Nagpur–Madgaon Express (15 trips) will be short-originated from Ajni.
In addition, MEMU services like 61120, 61117, 61118, and 61119 may be delayed by 10–20 minutes due to operational adjustments.
The Railway Administration has appealed to passengers to cooperate during this period of temporary inconvenience.
