In a joint operation carried out by Tehsil Police Station and the Zone-3 Police team, Nagpur city police arrested two persons and recovered a firearm, cartridges, and a two-wheeler.
The operation took place near Teen Nal Chowk to Indora Maidan City Bus Stop Road under Jaripatka Police Station limits. Based on secret information, the police team intercepted the suspects and took them into custody.
The accused have been identified as Ishan Govind Chandra Jasanani (36), resident of Kamal Pool Chowk, Jaripatka, and Imran Khan Mohammad Kadir Khan (25), resident of Roshan Bagh, Khairabi, Wathoda.
During the search, the police recovered one country-made pistol with a magazine valued at approximately ?80,000, one extra magazine worth ?5,000, eight live cartridges worth ?16,000, and one Honda Activa scooter (MH-31-ET-4015) valued at ?40,000.
The total value of seized property amounts to ?1.41 lakh. An offence has been registered at Tehsil Police Station under Section 3/25 of the Indian Arms Act and Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
The action was executed under the guidance of senior officers by Police Sub-Inspector Kunal Korche and the Zone-3 team.
