The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has initiated strict action against property tax defaulters under Laxminagar Zone No. 1. As part of this drive, property belonging to M/s Premier Technology Pvt. Ltd., located in the IT Park area, has been seized for non-payment of property tax from 2023 to 2025. The company had outstanding dues of ₹13,54,963. Based on this, NMC issued a warrant and carried out seizure and attachment of both movable and immovable properties.
The company owed tax arrears on multiple properties. Property No. 1641/B/21 had dues of ₹5,02,446, while Unit 1641/B/21/U-1 had dues of ₹1,85,274, Unit 1641/B/21/U-2 had dues of ₹84,676, and Unit 1641/B/21/U-3 had dues of ₹5,82,567 — totaling ₹13,54,963. The action was executed under the leadership of Laxminagar Zone Officer Mr. Naresh Kelzarkar. Present during the seizure were Tax Superintendent and Inspectors Mr. Gautam Meshram, Mr. Narendra Jambhulkar, Mr. Purushottam Bhadang, and Tax Collectors Mr. Amol Katekar and Mr. Rahul Gedam, along with other officials and staff.
The NMC has warned that if the property owner fails to take immediate cognizance of the seizure and attachment action, a proclamation under Section 45(1) of the NMC Act will be issued against the defaulter. The municipal corporation has appealed to all defaulters to pay their pending taxes immediately to avoid further action.
