Nagpur: A 17-year-old boy lost his life after being hit by a train near Narendra Nagar overbridge in Beltarodi area late on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dipanshu Sunil Gedekar, a resident of Plot No. 67, Galli No. 4, Parvati Nagar, Ajni. The incident occurred around 10.20 pm on October 14 between railway pole numbers 831/11 and 831/13.
Police said Dipanshu was found in a critically injured condition on the tracks and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him dead.
Based on information provided by his brother Om Sunil Gedekar (22), Beltarodi Police registered a case of accidental death.
Further investigation is underway.
