Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) — the leading organisation representing over 13 lakh traders across Vidarbha — has announced its new office bearers for 2025–26. Mr. Farooq Akbani and CA Hemant Sarda have been unanimously elected as the new President and Secretary, respectively.
The elections were held during the 81st Annual General Meeting of NVCC on October 30, 2025, at Rajwada Palace, near Gandhi Sagar, Nagpur.
The newly formed executive committee includes:
President – Farooq Akbani; Vice Presidents – Swapnil Ahirkar, CA Ashwini Agrawal, and Umesh Patel; along with members Ramavatar Totla, Sachin Puniyani, Deepak O. Agrawal, Rajvantpal Singh Tuli, Shabbar Shakir, Abhay Agrawal, Ashok Sanghvi, Gyaneshwar Rakshak, Manish Jejani, Rajubhai Makhija, Amit Ramesh Agrawal, Prakash Mehadia, Manoj Laturia, Hussain Ajani, Mohan Choithani, Rakesh Ahuja, Hemant Sarda, Prabhakar Deshmukh, Mohan Gattani, Rajan Agrawal, CA Girish Mundada, Rajkumar Gupta, Daulat Kungwani, Rajesh Muniyar, Nirman Agrawal, Sanjay Agrawal (Pacheriwala), Narayan Toshniwal, Santosh Kabra, Rakesh Gandhi, Sanjay Paliwal, Sunil Bhatia, Saket Suri, Madhur Satish Bang, Suryakant Agrawal, Natwar Patel, Salim Ajani, Sunil Jagyasi, Sushil Jham, Umang Agrawal, Vikes Agrawal, and Dharmendra Ahuja — all elected unopposed.

Former presidents Dipenji Agrawal and Ashwinji Prakashji Agrawal (Mehadia) played a key role in facilitating a smooth and unified election process, strengthening internal coordination. They jointly stated that the Chamber will continue to stand as a symbol of trader unity and work towards collective growth and strength.
Following the elections, the Chamber appointed CA Hemant Sarda as Secretary, Sachin Puniyani as Treasurer, and Deepak O. Agrawal, Manish Jejani, Ashok Sanghvi as Joint Secretaries, while Hussain Ajani was named as PRO.
Senior Chamber member Arjundas Ahuja congratulated the new executive committee, expressing confidence that the team will work towards advancing trader interests and reaching new milestones.
In his address, President Farooq Akbani thanked all members for their trust and assured that under his leadership, the Chamber would remain proactive. “Efforts will be made to personally visit trade associations at least once a week to understand their issues and help resolve them,” he said.
He also highlighted plans to establish a Women’s Wing within the Chamber, noting, “Women today work shoulder to shoulder with men in every field. After discussions with past presidents, we plan to create a platform for them within NVCC as well.”
The meeting saw participation from several former presidents, including Gopal Soni, Hemant Khungar, Jagdish Bang, Hemant Gandhi, and over 250 members. The vote of thanks was proposed by CA Hemant Sarda, the newly appointed Secretary.
